Were you there?

You might be surprised to read the next upcoming posts about Hargeysa Gay scene, which is for some people it doesn’t exist at all; in fact the city is booming with gay men, mostly they are in-closet, if you hangout in down town and sit down for a coffee in one of these trendy restaurants“Cadaani , Summertime and Soorsan”, you will get these eye contacts from some cute guys who dress in a very classy way, well fashioned and hansom, neatly treated look.
I used to think they are attracted to the fashion and style of the other men, but was shocked when I had a Mona-Lisa smile from someone who kept doing it whenever I looked at his way, hiding under a tree dining with his friends in Summertime “whom I suspect they weren't gay”, but the act kept going the whole night till I had to call it a night and excuse my straight friends and leave.
I went through the same plot over and over in the places I’ve mentioned before.
But still not easy for them to take the first step, which is like getting comfort with the whole distance contact without getting close and talk, nothing seems developing after all; Maybe because of the fear of being exposed.

A movement by group of guys on Facebook tried to do a gay hook-ups spot, they’ve chosen “Gulaid Park” as one of the best places to feel free and sit, and when I asked them the reason they said “its safe, no many people goes there, and its quiet which is always occupied by old men and their colleagues”.
After their announcement by 2 weeks, I had to drove and check by my self without leaving the car, ordered a cup of tea and stayed there for almost 20mins; I could see many youngins sitting together, and some were pairs, I was amazed.

It wasn’t easy for me to get involved till I can understand their codes and how they act together and react to someone new to them or the scene it self.
